This policy explains what personal data Lazybird collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It covers lazybird.app, the Lazybird Studio, the Lazybird API, and our emails and support channels (together, "Lazybird" or "the Services").
1. Who we are
Lazybird is operated by LAZYBIRD COMPANY LIMITED (CÔNG TY TNHH LAZYBIRD), enterprise code 5901238832, 974 Lê Duẩn, An Phú Ward, Gia Lai Province, Vietnam.
We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For anything privacy-related, including requests to exercise your rights, email support@lazybird.app.
2. Summary
- We collect what we need to run your account and generate audio: your login details, the scripts you write, the files and voice recordings you upload, and how you use the product.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your scripts, uploads or voice recordings to train AI models.
- Payments are securely handled by Lemon Squeezy, which is owned by Stripe. We never see your full card details.
- You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, from Settings → Account → Delete account.
- We use analytics, error monitoring and a support chat that set cookies or similar storage. You can block them with your browser settings or an ad/tracker blocker (see section 8).
3. What we collect
3.1 Account data
- Email address, or your Google account's name, email and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- Display name (nickname) and avatar, if you set them.
- Anonymous accounts: if you try the Studio without signing up, we create an anonymous account ID with no email.
- API keys you create.
3.2 Content you create or upload
- Scripts and text you type into the Studio or send to the API.
- Projects: script blocks, voice and audio settings, folders, uploaded images, video and music, and exports.
- Generated audio and video produced from your content.
- Voice designs: the description and sample text you enter to design a voice, and the resulting audio.
3.3 Voice recordings and voice clones
When you clone a voice, you upload a recording (or give us a link to one). We store the recording, an enhanced version of it, and the voice you create from it (name, language, avatar, preview clip).
A voice recording can identify the person speaking, and some laws treat it as biometric or sensitive data. We handle it with extra care:
- We use voice recordings only to generate speech in that voice for you (and, if you publish the voice, for other users — see 3.4). We do not use them to identify or verify anyone.
- Before you clone a voice in the Studio, you must confirm that you own the voice or have the speaker's permission, and we record that confirmation. If you clone through our API, the same rule applies under our Acceptable Use Policy.
- You can delete a voice at any time (see section 6 for when its files are removed).
3.4 Public content
- Published voices. If you publish a voice to the Lazybird community, other users can find it and generate speech with it. Its name, description, labels, language, avatar and a generated preview clip become public. Your original recording is never shown or made downloadable.
- Creator profile. Your nickname, avatar and a link to your creator page appear next to your published voices only if you turn on "share profile publicly". It is off by default.
- Share links. If you create a share link for a project, anyone with the link can view that project, play its audio, see the display details (name, avatar) of the voices it uses — including your private voices — and make their own copy of the project. Don't share a link to a project you want to keep private.
3.5 Usage, device and log data
- Pages you visit, features you use, events such as sign-ups, generations (such as the number of characters and the voice used — not the text itself), exports and purchases.
- Device and browser information: browser type, device type, language, time zone, the page that referred you and campaign tags.
- IP address and basic details of your requests, in our logs.
- Error reports and, for some sessions, a recording of how you used the page with on-screen text hidden (see section 8).
3.6 Payment data
Payments are securely handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details. We receive only what we need to give you what you bought: your name, email, the plan or product and its status. We never see your full card details.
3.7 Communications and support
- Emails you send us and our replies.
- Messages you send through the support chat, plus the name, email and account ID we attach so we know who you are.
- Whether you opened or clicked our emails.
4. How we use your data, and our legal bases

No sale of data, no targeted advertising. We don't sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5.2 Other disclosures
- Other users, only for what you make public (section 3.4).
- Legal reasons: when required by law, court order or a valid government request, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or Lazybird.
- Business transfers: if Lazybird is merged, acquired or sells assets, personal data may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
6. How long we keep data
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Account, projects, voices, uploads, API keys | Until you delete them or delete your account |
| Deleted projects and folders | Kept in the Trash until you restore them, delete them forever, or delete your account. Deleting forever removes the project and its files, except files still used by a copy someone made of a project you shared |
| Deleted uploads in a project | Removed from your library right away. The file itself is deleted when its project is deleted forever, or when you delete your account |
| Deleted uploads made outside a project, and the original recording uploaded to clone a voice (a deleted voice's processed recording, preview and avatar are removed right away) | Until you delete your account |
| Voice-design audio you don't save as a voice | Until you delete your account |
| Records of each speech generation, including its text | 30 days |
| Temporary copies of generated audio | 30 days |
| Server logs | Only as long as needed to run and secure the Services |
| Analytics events | Only as long as needed to understand and improve the Services. You can ask us to delete yours (section 7) |
| Error reports and session recordings | Only as long as needed to find and fix bugs. You can ask us to delete yours (section 7) |
| Payment and license records | As long as needed for tax, accounting, refunds and chargebacks, as the law requires |
| Support emails and chat | As long as needed to help you and keep a record of our conversation |
| Backups | Only as long as needed to recover from failures. Deleted data leaves backups as they are replaced |
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, Vietnamese law, or US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interest.
- Port your data to another service.
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it (for example for a voice recording), without affecting earlier processing.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Do it yourself:
- Delete your account: Settings → Account → Delete account. You'll need to have signed in recently and type your email to confirm. If you have a subscription that will renew, cancel it in Billing first. This permanently deletes your profile, sign-in, projects, uploads, exports, voices (including published ones) and their recordings, folders and API keys. We keep payment and license records (section 6).
- Delete a voice, project or upload: from the Studio. Deleted projects and folders go to the Trash, where you can restore them or delete them forever.
- Edit your profile, or hide it from public pages: in Settings.
- Unsubscribe from product emails: use the link in any of those emails. We'll still send essential service emails.
Ask us: email support@lazybird.app for anything else — a copy of your data, a correction, an objection, or deletion of the copies held by our analytics, error-monitoring and email providers (these copies aren't removed automatically when you delete your account). We'll verify your identity (normally by replying from the account's email) and respond within the time the law requires, usually within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our providers use cookies, local storage and similar technologies:
| What | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in | Keeps you signed in | Essential |
| Checkout (Lemon Squeezy) | Payment checkout | Essential (when you buy) |
| Affiliate tracking (Lemon Squeezy) | Credits affiliates who referred you | Affiliate tracking |
| Analytics | Shows us how Lazybird is used | Analytics |
| Error monitoring | Error reports, and recordings of some sessions to help us fix bugs. On-screen text and what you type are hidden. | Error monitoring |
| Support chat | Lets you chat with our support team | Functional |
These load when you open the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's "do not track" or tracking-protection features, or use an ad/tracker blocker. Blocking analytics, error monitoring or the support chat won't stop Lazybird from working. Blocking sign-in or checkout will stop those from working.
9. Security
We protect data with encrypted connections, access controls and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Children
Lazybird is not intended for children. You must be at least 16 years old to use Lazybird. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and tell you by email or in the product before the changes take effect. Earlier versions are available on request.
